New Collection: Southern Expressions
You can learn a lot from reflections. They show you details sometimes that are vivid and other times distorted. Many times, reflecting on past memories is the key to healing and self-discovery.
In this series, I wanted to highlight reflections of may childhood surroundings. I chose the color blue for six watercolor pieces as a metaphoric reference to my reflections of the conditions of poverty, family, and environmental settings many in my community endured with a sense of pride and joy. We were determined to "find a way to make a way" in the words of my wife.
